We found that becoming AI Fit isn’t just about technology. It’s about three interconnected areas:
Leadership
Getting everyone’s mindset right. AI is intimidating and new but leaders have always had to deal with new threats and obstacles. Your team needs you to step up.
People
Much of the public narrative has been about job replacement. The real opportunity is to empower and turbocharge your people. But you have to extinguish the fear first. People will deliver AI advantages but only if they feel confident.
Integration
A bit like the digital revolution that started as a “department” but became marbled through the organization, AI is something to be woven into the fabric of the work, how you do the work and the outcome of the work for customers. It is not a bolt-on.
Foundational Design Principles
There’s no question AI can be positively disruptive.
It’s also moving faster than any disruptor we’ve seen before.
Our inquiry identified a number of important design principles.
The preparatory work is not easy to do, but it’s worth investing the resources to be ready to train and deploy AI at scale.
